Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines four new/updated NERC standards that become mandatory and effective next month. One falls under the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) category and the others are Protection and Control (PRC) standards.
The four CIP and PRC standards take effect January 1 – any previous versions will be retired one day earlier. Going forward, applicable planners, owners, and operators must comply with, and have evidence that they are complying with, these standards.
