Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines the initial drafts of MOD-025-3 and PRC-019-3, which look to generalize the Real/Reactive capability verification and voltage control coordination standards to address both rotating and inverter-based machines.  Both standards have been significantly modified to account for the newer carbon-free technology, and feedback from planning organizations that the legacy fossil fuel related requirements need to be improved.

The initial drafts of MOD-025-3 and PRC-019-3 and their supporting materials have been posted for a 45-day industry stakeholder review and concurrent ballot.  Your feedback and votes are due back to the project team by November 14, 2022.
