Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at the initial draft of FAC-008-5, which should close out one of the last remaining items open from Phase 1 Standards Efficiency Review. FERC disallowed the removal of Requirement R8 in the previous version as key elements of its Facility Ratings data submission policies are not captured elsewhere. In response, the project team takes the most straight-forward path possible by restoring R8 to its original form.
The initial draft of FAC-008-5 and its supporting documents have been posted on the NERC website for a 45-day industry stakeholder review and concurrent ballot. Comments are due back to the project team and votes must be cast by January 13, 2021.
