Today’s LiveWire Spotlight runs through NERC’s 2021-2023 Standards Development Plan, which provides the latest status of standards development activity and a forecast of the work that NERC expects to process up to three years out. Seven projects were closed out last year related to supply chain risk, geomagnetic disturbance planning, and the communication of IROLs to Transmission Owners; among others. Ten others are in process and will be worked in the priority order given in the Plan.
The 2021-2023 Reliability Standards Development Plan has been submitted to FERC in an informational filing. Unless directed otherwise by the Commission, it will serve as the ERO’s implementation roadmap starting this month.
