Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at the initial draft of NERC’s standards development prioritization plan for the next three years.  The plan serves as the basis for stakeholders to justify the dollars and headcount needed to support this aspect of the electric system reliability program.  Almost all of the high-priority activity is driven by emerging issues, i.e.; related to grid transformation, extreme events, security risks, and critical infrastructure interdependencies.

The Draft 2023-2025 Reliability Standards Development Plan and support materials have been posted on NERC’s website for a 30-day stakeholder review.  Clients have until August 24, 2022 to return their comments on the plan.
