Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at the initial draft of PRC-005-7, in which the Project Team looks to expand its scope to include control system functions that can trip BES elements. Their updates include a change to the definition of “Protection System” which could have monumental impact on our Clients’ Protection System Maintenance Programs (PSMPs) and many standards outside of PRC-005.
The initial draft of PRC-005-7 and its supporting materials have been posted on the website for Project 2019-04 for a 45-day stakeholder review and concurrent ballot. Comments and votes are due back to the project team by July 10, 2023.
