Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines a data request from NERC, who is looking to identify unproductive, burdensome, and/or overly complex reliability requirements that can be retired from the standards’ framework. The survey results will be input to Standards Efficiency Review teams addressing the disposition of requirements during the Long-term Planning, Operations Planning, and Real-time Operations time horizons.
The standards efficiency review matrix has been posted on NERC’s website for a 45-day period of stakeholder consideration. Clients have untilFebruary 2, 2018 to propose the retirement of ineffective requirements (with rationale) to chris.larson@nerc.net.
