Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at the initial draft of NERC’s Reliability Guideline on Primary Frequency Control Version 2. The document suggests solutions to an assortment of issues that interfere with the delivery of primary frequency response needed for Interconnection stability – at least until secondary frequency control can take over (i.e.; when AGC engages or the Balancing Authority can dispatch reserves.)
The initial draft of the NERC Reliability Guideline on Primary Frequency Control Version 2 has been posted for a 45-day industry stakeholder review. Comments must be returned to email@example.com by February 18, 2019.
