Today’s LiveWire Spotlight article looks at NERC’s proposed plan to transfer the reliability oversight responsibilities in Florida from the FRCC Regional Entity to SERC. In it, the ERO requests that the Commission’s normal review process be significantly reduced so that SERC can assume authority over the FRCC Registered Entity base by July 1, 2019.
Assuming FERC approves, NERC and SERC have targeted a transition completion date of July 1, 2019. By that date every Registered Entity presently in the FRCC Region must be fully integrated into SERC’s reliability compliance processes.
