Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines a series of revisions proposed by NERC to the Rules of Procedure (ROP) regarding the accelerated development of high-priority reliability standards. The updates emerge from a Board of Trustee’s (BOT) resolution that fast-moving threats from cyber-attacks and BES transformation need to be handled thru an expedited process.
NERC’s updates to Section 300 and Appendix 3A to the Rules of Procedure have been posted for a 45-day review period with a March 6, 2023 due date. Comments to Section 300 should be submitted to ROPcomments@nerc.net; and the feedback to the Standards Process Manual itself (Appendix 3A) should be processed through the Standards Balloting System.
