Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at NERC’s 2022-2024 Standards Development Plan, which prioritizes the work that the ERO expects to process up to three years out. Most project activity in 2022 will deal with deficiencies in renewable resource reliability identified in a White Paper issued by NERC’s Inverter-Based Performance Task Force. This includes five low-priority initiatives addressing new facility deployments/upgrades, generator model validation, event recorders, planning studies, and voltage control.
The Draft 2022-2024 Reliability Standards Development Plan and support materials have been posted on NERC’s website for a 30-day stakeholder review. Clients have until August 30, 2021 to return their comments on the plan.
