Today’s LiveWire Spotlight assesses NERC’s approved implementation guidance for PRC-019-2, which illustrates how Generator and Transmission Owners can construct charts that demonstrate their voltage limiters, relays, and equipment capabilities are coordinated in synchronous and inverter-based resources. Now that it is endorsed, auditors will give special deference to entities who apply the guidance in their effort to comply with the reliability standard.
As of February 10, 2023, the ERO Enterprise has officially endorsed twenty-three guidelines related to the CIP, FAC, PRC, TOP, and TPL standards. Six others addressing some of the most complex NERC requirements are under consideration.
