Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines FERC’s dismissal of the complaint filed by Californians for Green Nuclear Power looking to prevent the planned shutdown of the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant.  The Commission found for the defendants mostly on procedural grounds, i.e., statutes cited as violated did not apply or the evidence was lacking.

FERC’s dismissal of the Californians for Green Nuclear Power’s complaint may only be a brief set-back for the technology’s supporters.  Similar testimony was recently delivered to the U.S. Senate, who is also starting to question the wisdom of nuclear plant closings.
