Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines the second draft of MOD-025-3, which is looking to improve the quality of steady-state generator capability validation data to be used in planning studies. The initial posting only achieved a 26.7% approval rating, as many respondents believed it overly-relied on the need for extensive engineering studies to augment the physical validation process. Other options have been added in Draft 2 to offer more flexibility in this regard.
The second draft of MOD-025-3 and its supporting materials have been posted on the website for Project 2021-01 for a 45-day stakeholder review and concurrent ballot. Comments and votes are due back to the project team by June 8, 2023.
