Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at the updated version of a Planning Committee-sponsored Reliability Guideline intended to help system planners model and assess fuel assurance and pipeline disruption risk.  The latest posting integrates extensive advice from natural gas providers regarding the guideline’s technical/operational accuracy and a seeming negative bias in tone.

Normally, the updated Reliability Guideline on Fuel Assurance and Fuel-Related Reliability Risk Analysis for the BPS would be sent up to the Planning Committee for approval.  But due to the intense interest in the topic, NERC may choose to conduct a second review instead.
