Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at FERC Docket AD21-15-000, which announces the formation of a joint Task Force made up of representatives from U.S. Federal and State regulators to better coordinate transmission planning and financing.  The Commission hopes to establish a cohesive regulatory structure that best serves the public interest by balancing reliability, consumer protection, and environmental needs.

The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) was to deliver a slate of nominees for the joint transmission Task Force by July 17.  After their review, the Commission will post the final list of
team members, their roles, and the date for the first formal Task Force meeting (tentatively set for the Fall.)
