Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines the Senate Testimony submitted by five governmental and industry leaders to the Energy and Natural Resources Committee chaired by Senator Murkowski on January 23.  They provide the view of ISO executives and regulators on electric system performance during extreme cold weather events.

The threat of a major cold weather event that debilitates the North American energy infrastructure still weighs heavily on the U.S. Senate.  For now, they are mostly satisfied that progress is being made on improving resilience, and no new legislation is required.
