Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines a solicitation by FERC looking for responses from interested parties concerning their proposed application of primary frequency response requirements to electric storage resources and small generators. The Commission is reconsidering the application of the proposed rules to electric storage units and small generators because implementation costs could be disproportionately high.
FERC has given industry stakeholders 47 days to respond to their Request for Supplemental comments regarding primary frequency response. Clients have until October 9, 2017, to submit their comments.
