Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at the final version of the results of an expert team review of VAR-001-4.1 and VAR-002-4. They have rated both standards as “Yellow”, i.e.; they are sufficient to protect reliability, but there may be an opportunity to improve non-substantive quality or content issues.
The final recommendations from the VAR Standards periodic review have been posted on the NERC website. After the Standards Committee concurs, work will begin to incorporate the findings into VAR-001-4.1 and VAR-002-4.
