Today’s LiveWire Spotlight evaluates FERC Docket RD16-9-000, announcing their approval of COM-001-3. The Commission finds that the standard satisfies their directive to expand its scope to include certain intra-entity Control Center communications.
COM-001-3 will take effect in the U.S. on 10/1/2017. By that date, every Operating entity must be able to demonstrate that they have Interpersonal Communications capabilities established between internal Control Centers and with field personnel.
