Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at the Standards Authorization Request for Project 2016-03 – which initiates a NERC program to add new Cyber Security (CIP) requirements regarding security controls for the electric system supply chain. The project team expects to meet four security objectives posed by the Commission in Order 829 that will close the known reliability gaps associated with supply chain management.
The initial draft of the Standards Authorization Request for Project 2016-03 has been posted for a 30-day review period. Clients have until November 18, 2016 to provide comments back to the drafting team.
