Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at the WECC variances for MOD-026 and MOD-027 – which reestablish the five-year generator exciter and governor validation cycles presently in-force in the Western Interconnection. It also serves as a reminder to Clients outside of WECC that only two years remain before the initial validations are due. This is not a lot of time for complex processes of this type.
MOD-026-2 and MOD-027-2 have been posted on the NERC website for a 45-day review and successive ballot. Clients have until September 23, 2016 to return feedback to the project team and vote on the two standards.
