Today’s LiveWire Spotlight evaluates seven glossary definitions recently approved by FERC related to two NERC projects. The definition of “Special Protection System” has been updated based upon Project 2010-05.2 – the remaining six are tied to Project 2010-14.1’s effort to address gaps in Balancing Authority reserve planning and performance control processes.
The definition of “Reporting ACE” and its five sub-components took effect on 7/1, but only affects BAL-001-2. BAL-002-2, BAL-005-1, and FAC-001-3 will use the terms when they take effect on a date TBD. The new RAS definition takes effect on 4/1/17.
