Today’s LiveWire Spotlight evaluates two proposed revisions to NERC’s Rules of Procedure. The first is looks to establishes Frequency Response Sharing Groups and Regulation Reserve Sharing Groups as Registered Entity types subject to Reliability Requirements. The second updates the term “System Operator” to align with the new Glossary definition developed concurrently with PER-005-2.
NERC’s proposed Rules revisions have been posted for a 45-day review. Comments on the Frequency Response update must be emailed to NERC at ROPcomments@nerc.net by June 23, 2016 – those for Operator Certification are due June 30.
