Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at NERC’s Human Performance Conference, a three-day session held in Atlanta to examine the human performance aspects of BES reliability. During the event, presenters described innovative techniques and tools that have proven to reduce human error by focusing on the cognitive functions that drive learning and retention.

Human performance has consistently been a top contributor to Bulk Electric Systems events since NERC standards became mandatory in 2007. It is one of eight risk elements that Compliance Enforcement Authorities will focus on in 2016.
