Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines the case notes from nine separate BES Exception Requests submitted to NERC. They offer interesting insight into the rationale used by NERC to approve or disapprove BES exception requests – including some approved after the scope of the request was modified.
There is no time limit for Registered Entities to submit a BES exception request for Facilities that they own or operate. Clients with systems similar to those approved by NERC may apply for one, but each case will be evaluated on its technical merits.
