Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines FERC Docket RM16-8-000, a public Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to add voltage and frequency ride-through performance requirements to the Small Generator Interconnection Agreement (SGIA). If approved, generating facilities with capacities of 20 MW or less will be required to remain connected to the BES during abnormal frequency and voltage events.
FERC Docket RM16-8-000, proposing to add voltage and frequency ride-through requirements to the SGIA, is up for a 60-day public review. Clients have until 5/23/2016 to submit comments on the NOPR.
