Today’s LiveWire Spotlight examines Project 2015-03, the Periodic Review of the SOL Standards – which has re-initiated the open project activity deferred from the FAC evaluation performed in 2013. The project team believes the underlying basis of the SOL standards is obsolete, as it does not account for new tools which can re-calculate limits in Real Time.
The initial recommendations from the SOL standards periodic review team have been posted on the NERC website for a 45 day review period. Comments must be returned to the project team by June 17, 2015.
