Today’s LiveWire Spotlight evaluates RISC’s first monthly meeting in 2015, marking nearly three years since the committee was instated to assess progress on NERC’s reliability initiatives and evaluate the urgency of pending issues. The committee looks to build on their 2014 report to NERC’s Board of Trustees vis-à-vis the treatment of high-priority initiatives through standards creation or other equally effective means.
The Reliability Issues Steering Committee’s influence on standards development and risk-based compliance has begun to take hold. It is yet to be determined whether or not these initiatives will lead to measurable results.
