Spotlight on FAC and TPL Requirements Taking Effect in the U.S. on January 1

Today’s LiveWire Spotlight serves as a reminder to Clients who may be impacted by the transmission vegetation management and system planning requirements that become mandatory next month.

  • FAC-003-3 R3 is the first vegetation management requirement applicable to Generator Owners.
  • TPL-001-4 R1 and R7 are the initial system planning requirements slated to replace those in TPL-001-0.1 thru TPL-004-0a. The remaining six will engage 12 months later.

FAC-003-3 R3 and TPL-001-4 R1/R7 will take effect in the U.S. on January 1, 2015. At that time, the applicable GOs, PCs, and TPs must have evidence that they are fully complying with these requirements.
