Today’s LiveWire Spotlight looks at FERC Docket RM13-8-000 – announcing their intention to retire thirty six Paragraph 81 requirements that have little or no effect on Bulk Electric System reliability. The Commission estimates the reduction in hours will result in an industry-wide savings of more than $500,000 per year, which can be re-applied to actions that better serve reliability.
FERC’s proposal to accept the Paragraph 81 retirements is posted for a sixty day public review. Clients have until August 27, 2013 to submit their comments on the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
