Today’s LiveWire Spotlight is on the latest posting of CIP-002-5. It is the first of four articles concerning the Version 5 cyber security standards – which represent a major directional shift in NERC’s cyber security strategy from one that cites violations for any failure in execution to one intended to drive continual performance monitoring, gap identification, and the correction of deficiencies.

The third draft of CIP-002-5 has been posted on the project web site for industry stakeholder review and a successive ballot. Clients have until October 10, 2012 to return comments and cast their votes.
