Today’s LiveWire Spotlight is a reminder of the Standards taking effect in the US on October 1. There are three new IRO Standards taking effect as a result of the “Pre-2006 Project” – which reorganizes mostly Reliability Coordinator requirements in multiple IRO and TOP Standards. Minor updates have been made to three other Standards, EOP-002-3, FAC-001-1, and VAR-001-2; as driven by Project 2010-12.
The NERC Standards will take effect in the US on 10/1/11. Compliance records must demonstrate adherence to the new and updated requirements after that date.
