Today’s LiveWire Spotlight is on NERC Project 2007-02 which will introduce a new Standard, COM-003-1 – addressing the verbiage used in, and delivery of, reliability instructions. It provides regulatory expectations of the communications framework used by operating entities to exchange accurate and precise information – verbally and in writing – during periods of high alert and actual emergencies.
The project team completed its review of the second draft of COM-003-1 and its implementation plan earlier this month. The documents are expected to be posted for industry review before the end of the third Quarter 2011.
