Today’s LiveWire Spotlight is on the NERC BPS Reliability Indicators – high level performance gauges developed by NERC’s Reliability Metric Working Group (RWMG). It currently consists of eighteen approved and proposed reliability metrics, seven of which have data available for comparative analyses.
NERC has begun to use the RWMG metrics in its BES adequacy assessments and other performance reporting. The first view of the new reliability indicators is expected in the 2011 annual reliability metrics report – still in draft form.
